Piston mud pump Storm MP15 | 2MP15
Designed for pumping contaminated drilling fluid during drilling operations.
Solid particle size: up to 10 mm.
The mud pumping unit is driven by a hydraulic cylinder.
The hydraulic cylinder is controlled by a hydraulic valve with electric control via inductive rod position sensors.
Power supply for the hydraulic valve solenoids: 12 V DC.
Contents of delivery:
Pump assembly with pumping unit and hydraulic cylinder;
Two inductive rod position sensors;
Relay control system for the hydraulic valve solenoids;
Hydraulic distributor with mounting plate and safety valve;
Two supply hoses for the hydraulic distributor, each up to 2 meters long (pressure and drain lines of the hydraulic system);
Two hoses for the pumping unit (pressure and suction), each up to 5 meters long;
Suction mud filter with mesh.
Pump specifications:
MP15 – means one pumping unit; 2MP15 – means two pumping units.
MP15 | Weight: 105 kg. Overall dimensions (mm): L × W × H = 1400 × 340 × 460 | Pressure: 15 bar. Flow rate: 350 l/min. |
2MP15 | Weight: 165 kg. Overall dimensions (mm): L × W × H = 2000 × 340 × 460 | Pressure: 7.5 bar. Flow rate: 700 l/min. |
Parameters of the hydraulic system:
Needed hydraulic system:
Flow rate: up to 55 l/min.
Pressure: up to 160 bar.
Example of calculating the motor power required for the drive:
An engine with a rated power of 20 hp (14.7 kW) will provide the hydraulic system with parameters of 50 l/min at a pressure of 160 bar.
However, during typical drilling operations, the specified maximum pressure is rarely required. For most operations, a pressure of 3-4 bar with a flow rate of 220-250 l/min is sufficient, corresponding to 5 hp of power consumption.
Maintenance and operation:
Cuff replacement: every 100 hours;
Replacement of the piston set for the pumping unit: every 200 hours;
Maintenance cost: $15-20 for every 200 hours of operation;
Service time: 30 minutes.
Simple and efficient operation of the mud pump assembly makes it ideal for various drilling conditions.
