Chassis for compact drilling rig Storm

As the base, meaning the chassis, three options are offered for the Storm compact drilling rigs. The first option is a two-axle trailer. The second option is a tracked chassis with rubber tracks. The third option is mounting the drilling rig on the customer’s vehicle. If a trailer is chosen as the chassis, it will be a two-axle design. Its specifications are listed below. It can also be equipped with a frictional hydraulic wheel drive, making it self-propelled. This allows it to independently access areas with limited space.

TFHD - Hydraulic friction wheel drive system

Discover unparalleled versatility with our Friction Hydraulic Drive System – an innovative solution that transforms trailers into self-propelled units. This system, specially designed for hard-to-reach areas, ensures effortless maneuverability and eliminates the need for towing in challenging conditions.

2TFHD | 4TFHD – 2 means two-wheel drive, 4 means four-wheel drive.

How It Works

The system operates through friction-based hydraulic drives integrated with the trailer’s wheels. Utilizing a compact hydraulic pump and a power source (e.g., engine or battery), it generates the force needed for self-propulsion and trailer control. The friction mechanism directly transfers power to the wheels, ensuring efficient traction and precise handling.

 Key Features

1. Autonomous Movement:

– Enables trailers to move independently without a towing vehicle.

– Ideal for locations where towing is impractical, such as remote sites or confined spaces.

2. Hydraulic Power and Traction:

– Provides precise and reliable movement, even on slippery or uneven surfaces.

– Maintains constant torque for stable performance in demanding conditions.

3. All-Terrain Capability:

– Adapts easily to soil, gravel, mud, and other challenging terrains.

– Designed to operate in extreme weather and environmental conditions.

4. Compact and Modular Design:

– Easily integrates with various trailer types without compromising usable space.

– Requires minimal maintenance due to its durable construction and high-quality components.

5. Ease of Use:

– Intuitive controls for straightforward maneuvering and operation.
